Hi! I’m Jen, and I am so glad you are here. This is my little slice of the internet where I can share the things that I love! Some of it will be random, most of it will be creative and 100% comes straight from the heart.
I started this as a blog…..way back in the olden days of the early 2000s and Blogger. Over the years it has grown and shrunk but it has almost always followed my love of paper crafting. I was a scrapbooker first, hoping to capture the moments of milestones of motherhood and raising children. In 2003 I held my first Red Rubber stamp and a new passion was born in me. While my blogging hasn’t been constant, my love of paper crafting has. Here I share the cards & projects that I create, and I hope they will inspire you to create something handmade as well.
Over the years I have worked for several direct sales companies and you will find those products in the archives of posts. Some may still be around, others – not so much. In 2018 I took a break from direct sales, and from crafting after suffering burnout and disappointment when the company I worked for went direct to retail. In the Spring of 2020, we ALL know what happened. We were forced to stay home, social distance etc and as an extrovert, that lasted about 13 days before I went stir crazy. I realized then that I needed a hobby and knew exactly what I would do. I returned right away to stamping, card making and paper crafting. I met an incredible group of women online who shared with me all of the things that I had missed during my crafty hiatus. I spent the next 9 months growing my collection of crafty items once again and am now ready to return to sharing my work with the world.
In June of 2020 I was diagnosed with Triple Negative & Metaplastic Breast Cancer and spent the next 6 months in treatment which has included a mastectomy & chemotherapy. My last treatment was the last week of the year and I can’t think of a better way to end all that 2020 has come to represent. I didn’t share publicly during my journey but this space will become a place that I can do that. A place that I can share my story and offer hope to others who are still in the fight!
I’m married to the most amazing man, who supports my love of crafting and totally gets my ADHD/Crazy Brain and always pushes me to be the best I can be. We have two awesome kids who have been homeschooled most of their life. We graduated our daughter in May of 2020 and will graduate our son in May of 2022. When I am not crafting I love to spend time outside, hanging out with our chickens, working in the garden or playing with our fur babies. Our family loves to camp, off-road, explore new places, spend time with friends and take adventures as often as possible.
Hugs & Happy Stamping!
