April International Blog Highlights

Welcome back to another International Blog Highlight. This month our theme is weddings. I know that we will have a few weddings this year and I do love making handmade cards for these special occasions. This month I did something non-traditonal and I am super happy with how it turned out.

Non Traditional wedding card for Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlight. For more information and inspiration visit www.faithgracestamp.com

The base layer is Very Vanilla, even though it is hard to tell and then I cut out the Detailed Floral Thinlits on a sheet of Urban Underground Designer Series Paper. I then layered a piece of vellum behind that and did the stained glass technique for the flowers. The tiny pearls give a dainty accent to the flowers and the soft stain ribbon gives it an elegant touch. This is so bright and fun for a summer wedding, don’t you agree?

I would love it so much if you would visit Kylie’s blog and vote for my card. The top 10 cards will earn a spot in an International Blog Hop and I would love to participate!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. If you like my card please be sure to leave me a comment and subscribe to the blog so you never miss a post!

Our theme for this highlight is using the stamp set All Things Thanks! This is a Wonderful stamp set with so many gorgeous sentiments. We wanted to highlight how versatile it really is.

Stunning Watercoloring using the watercolor pencils and aqua painter by Stampin Up! Find more inspiration at www.faithgracestamp.com

This image was stamped using Stazon Black ink and then watercolored using our coordinating colors and an aqua painter. This technique will be featured in my upcoming watercolor class and I would love to have you join me!

The sentiment fits so perfectly for a friend and doesn’t at all take away from the focal point of the image. I just love that!

Here is my card

Get Well Card using pretty spring colors. Find more inspiration at www.faithgracestamp.com

Get Well cards are always good to have on hand and I prefer to make mine as bright and cheery as possible. The color combination of Watermelon Wonder, Wild Wasabi, Wisteria Wonder and Rich Razzleberry are just perfect together. I love how the flowers from the Jar of Love set work so well with the stems from the Number of Years Set. I thought the Petal Burst embossing folder was the perfect touch to tie the card all together!

Thanks for visiting my blog today make sure you head over to Kylie’s blog – http://bit.ly/KyliesFebHighlights to vote for my project. I would love to be chosen to do an international blog hop.
