Hello everyone! Today I want to share with you my thoughts and a few projects I have made with products from Fun Stampers Journey.
This company is very new to me, but not new to the paper crafting world. They began almost 4 years ago and are based out of Phoenix Arizona. Started by Richard and Gabby Garay, FSJ has a complete line of products for your paper crafting needs.
I ordered a few products to try out and see what I thought.
Stamps are made in the USA of high quality red rubber, deeply etched to stamp a clear image every time. Each is mounted on cling foam that has the image laser printed and they stick to the clear blocks all the time! No sticker means no stamps falling off! I did a test and tried to shake the stamp off as hard as I possibly could and it never came off. Impressive!
FSJ offers an ink that is amazing. It is called True Color Fusion Ink. True Color Fusion pads are a Hybrid pad, a blend of both dye and pigment! You get the crisp rich color of pigment ink but it dries with the speed of dye ink! No bleeding, waterproof, great on all surfaces and every color has matching card stock. AND, there are 50 colors to choose from, so you have a huge selection to choose from. Another fun ink product that I loved right away are the Silks. Journey Silks provide a metallic shimmer effect in a concentrated form. Use to dab, flick, and drop color directly onto your projects, or apply with one of our artist brushes for more control.
Now for a few of the projects I have made. These photos are raw and some projects are incomplete since I just wanted to get a feel for what I had ordered.
This card was made using the Sweet You stamp set. I stamped the image in some black Momento ink that I had on hand and colored using my new Ohuhu alcohol markers.
This was another image from the Sweet You set, this time stamped on Daffodil Delight card stock using FSJ’s Whip Cream Ink. I am very impressed with how crisp the lines are even with a craft ink pad. It took only seconds to dry and did not smear at all when I was coloring with watercolor pencils.
Lastly I painted the Gold Silk onto the flower from the ATS set Lovely Day and then stamped onto my card stock. My coloring job wasn’t the greatest but I love the effect of using the silks as the ink to stamp with.
Over all I am very impressed with the quality of the products that FSJ offers. Their catalog is extensive at 318 pages as well as offering seasonal catalogs, a monthly subscription card kit and 3 starter kits options to choose from! These are all amazing deals and I will be sharing more about those later this week.
I would love to hear your thoughts and I am here to answer any questions you have. It’s been a journey already since I decided to make a change of direction with my crafting and I am excited to have you along!
