ICS Blog Hop – Fabulous Framelits

ICSBlogHop

It’s the first Wednesday of the month so that means it’s time for the ICS Blog Hop! I am so excited that you are here.

This month we are showcasing our Fabulous Framelits! Did you know that Stampin’ Up! offers 52 different sets of framelits! That is such a huge selection to choose from! My project used 3 different sets between the gift item and the coordinating card.

Aug ICS Blog Hop

This was a wedding gift for my son’s youth group leader who got married last weekend. I used their invitation as the inspiration for patterns and colors. Their wedding was an evening filled with family, fun and faith. The bride and groom met last fall at a youth event held at church and now they are husband and wife. I love that our Large Letter Framelits and Large Number Framelits make personalized gifts so easy! The Sunshine Wishes thinlits made a coordinating card quick and easy to add!

Now it’s time to hop on over to Megan’s blog and see what she has for us. Thank you so much for hopping by tonight! I would love to know what you thought of my project! Be sure to subscribe so that you never miss another post.

May Sketch Challenge at SSInk

Happy Hump Day! Or evening if you rather. In any case, the week is cruising by. Today I had a chance to play along with the challenge over at SSInk.

#SSINKCS33-May

And here is my card:

SSInkCS33This card was made for my friend Whitney who graduated from Pharmacy school this week! I am so proud of her and her hard work. These are her school colors and they actually worked nicely together in this project. I am trying to also use any retiring product as much as possible these next 3 weeks and this card has the Chevron embossing folder for the background. I know that I will miss using that!

Thank you so much for coming by today. I would love to know what you thought of my project so please leave me a comment. You can subscribe to my newsletter to the right to receive email about my current classes, events and all the latest news at Stampin’ Up!

April Mystery Challenge – SSInk

Hello again friends! The fine folks over at SSInk have a fantastic mystery challenge for us this month. I hope you will also play along!
 And here is my card:

As you can see I was able to incorporate quite a few elements from the challenge this month. We of course have the wonderful flowers from the Botanical Bloom bundle, we have the 3 colors of Daffodil, Espresso and Mossy Meadow. We also have more than 3 layers, including 1 layer of vellum. With the “for you” sentiment it could also easily be given for Mother’s Day.
Close up of the flower layers.
I spoiled myself with the purchase of the bundles when I found out it would be returning in next years catalog. This is the first time I have used it and I had to restrain myself from cutting out flowers in all the colors. Oh how I am going to love this set!!
You may notice a new watermark on these photos. After much prayer and consideration I will be changing the name of my blog, Instagram, Facebook business page and all online/social media accounts to be something that is a little more in line with my personality and real life. While I am a diva when it comes to my stamps, I am really a jeans and tee shirt kind of gal who loves Jesus and I want that to be my focus.
Be watching for the changes to happen over the next few weeks. I am very excited about the direction my life and business is going!
I am so glad that you stopped by today.  You can subscribe to my blog on the right and never miss another post. I
love blog love in the form of a comment, so please let me know what you
think of this project!

A Wintery Card

Happy Monday! I cannot believe it is the last day of November! This month went to fast!
Guess What!?! I was chosen as a Goddess Pick last week at Stampin’ Royalty! I am so honored and excited to be chosen! Thank you SR!
This week’s Stampin’ Royalty Challenge was to create a winter themed card.
The weather here in Idaho is sure feeling like winter and it made doing a winter themed card easy peasy for me.
This photo really does not do the card the justice it deserves. In person the colors blend so much better and the glitter on the trees is so so sparkly.  I took quite a few trying to capture it all, but alas it wasn’t happening for me today!
At first this card was going to be a Christmas card but then I realized that the sentiment was really quite appropriate for the Season of Winter and that made me giggle! I am so goofy sometimes.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. You can subscribe to my blog on the right and never miss another post. I love blog love in the form of a comment, so please let me know what you think of this card!

Don’t forget that today is another 24-flash sale and your last day to order amazing products at sale prices!

ICS Blog Hop – Giving Thanks

It’s the first Wednesday in November and that means another ICS Blog Hop. This month we are giving thanks – and I have so much to be thankful for! I love thinking about gratitude, and how it makes me appreciate what I have in my life.
My card this month was featured at my technique class in October and I thought it was so fitting for this fall theme. I absolutly love the color blocking look and the frame looking out onto the fall scene is adorable!
I used the white shimmer paper for the scene and I wish that you could see it better. It almost looks like frost! This card may look difficult but it was so quick and easy once the block frame was created. I think this technique can be used for any card – I hope you will try it sometime.
Now, it’s time to hop on over to Darla and her sisters blog to see what wonderful projects they have for us this month.
Please let me know you were here by leaving me a comment and remember that you can subscribe to the blog and never miss another post.

Our theme this month is Butterflies! Stampin’ Up! offers us quite a few choices in this area and is one of my most favorite images!
The card I have made for you this month is using the gorgeous stamp set
Butterfly Basics and the coordinating Framelit. This is one of the
wonderful bundles carried over from our Occasions Catalog and I could
not be happier. I just adore this bundle. This card design will work in
so many color combinations and with just a change of sentiment, can be
used for so many different occasions. I love the muted colors on the
cardstock so that the large butterfly image can really be the focal
point. Below you will find a list of the supplies used in the making of
this card and as always you can purchase these supplies at my Stampin’ Store Online.
Now, it’s time to hop on over to Joni’s blog and see what she has for you! Thanks so much for hopping by. Be sure to leave me love in the form of a comment and subscribe to the blog so you never miss a post!

ICS Blog Hop – Giving Thanks

Hello and welcome to the November ICS Blog Hop – Giving Thanks! If you’ve traveling through the hop, you would have just visited Olivia’s blog. Didn’t you just love her style?! I sure do. If you arrived from somewhere else, such as Facebook, thanks for stopping by. You can just follow the next button at the bottom and continue hopping with us!
OK, enough of that. Here is my card for this Blog Hop. I just love the deep colors of this card, reminding me of the changing leaves on the trees outside. The sentiment is so appropriate for our hop, and this month with Thanksgiving in just a few weeks. Finally the hardwood background stamp is one of my favorites because the look is so authentic and is great when needing to make a card for a guy.
