Upward Boise

My daughter and I have been involved with Upward Cheerleading for 3 years now. It is such a wonderful, non competitive program! When we moved last summer we were both a little worried that it would be something that we would not be able to do here. But, God has blessed us and we are just wrapping up our season.
Upward Boise runs an unbelievable program. Keeping Basketball and Cheer Jesus centered while teaching skills, building friendships and having fun. I have had such a wonderful experience this season and just wanted to encourage you to check this organization out! They offer Cheer, Basketball and coming in Fall of 2010 they will offer Flag football with Cheer. They run great summer camps and I look forward to 20111 when they will also offer Soccer.

I need to go through my photos so that I can share them here with you but I just wanted to let you know of this group. If you are looking for Christ centered sports for your child, THIS is the place!

Lack of Posts means a busy life…..

or something like that!!! I have been very absent and for that I’m sorry! I got that part time job at the school and then, life took over. However I think I can get a handle on this once again!

Things here in S. Idaho are good. I can see signs of spring. Flowers are popping up, in other peoples yard, and today I heard some birds chirping. I think they are finding their way home from being south all winter.
The kids are doing great in school and at home. Upward Cheer has kept us very busy but with only 2 weeks left we can see the light at the end of the tunnel! ha ha ha…tunnel…..sorry…told myself a funny!

We have plans this weekend to go tubing and the kids don’t know yet. I am sure we are going to have a great time. Then, in a few weeks we will have another family fun night and attend Monster Jam! The kids don’t know about that either! Boy, are we sneaky or what! D Man is going to be so beside himself, I just can’t wait to see his expression.

I am working on plans for my next stamp class so be watching for that post. I promise I will try to post more often, both about the kids and the stamping. Life just got busy.

Happy Anniversary!

Today is my wedding anniversary! I have been married to my best friend for 9 years today. While we did not have a traditional wedding (we were married in Las Vegas and it was broadcast on the internet for our friends and family to watch) it was a wonderful day that is still very fresh in my mind.
I am so lucky to have such a wonderful, loving husband and not a day goes by that I don’t thank God for putting him into my life. We have had our ups and downs but through it all we have always remembered that we are a team and we are committed until the end of time. He has given me the gift of 2 wonderful children and I would not trade any of the hard times for anyone else’s sunshine and roses. He is mine and and I his and that is the way it is meant to be.

Happy Anniversary my love! I look forward to years and years and years of life with you. Good or bad, as long as we are a team we can do anything!

A got a haircut!

OK..it’s such a similar title to a previous post about D but our little girl decided earlier this week that she was tired of dealing with tangles and long hair and has been asking to get her haircut.

She really wanted Zabeius in the photo with her, so you get to see him too :o)

She wanted it about an inch shorter but the stylist recommended that we not go quite that short. She said it would make her face look even more round than it already is. So we took her advice, for now. A really loves is and I have to admit that it was much easier to wash tonight for me, and easier for her to comb out after bath time. She says she still wants it shorter the next time, so maybe we will just try it and see how it looks. For now, she is one step closer to being ready for her first day in the 1st grade which is less than 3 weeks away.

D got a haircut!

So, this post is totally NOT stamping related but I had so put this out there so that you could all see. Our son got a haircut – Chris style!!!

Now, I admit that the boy NEEDED a haircut but this was NOT quite what I had in mind. But after a few days it is growing on me. D did really well, sitting on a chair on the back deck.

Of course it tickled a little bit and he giggled the whole time but he did really, really well. I guess he won’t need another haircut for…well, about the whole summer. But boy I am going to need to invest in some sunscreen or a bunch of hats for him!!!
