July INKspiration Challenge

Hey there! Happy Monday! I hope that you had a wonderful weekend! I have been working with the high school youth from our church doing outreach. If we are friends on Facebook I am sure you have seen me posting about it.

Today over at SSInk we have an INKspiration challenge for you!

July 2016 INKspiration

And here is what I came up with!

July SSInkspiration card

This Botanical Builder thinlit always makes me think of Hawaii, sunny beaches and tropical living. I love this set! It works so well in any color, any layout. If you don’t yet have it – you should shop my store and grab it! While you are at it, you can earn a $5 coupon code for use next month! What a bonus!

Thanks for stopping by today. I love to know what you think of my card so please leave me a comment. Be sure to subscribe so that you never miss another post!

Playin’ with Mojo!

Hello Hello! So excited to post my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge! I love a good challenge!

preview-full-Mojo454Sketch

And my card-

Mojo454

As you can see, this sketch was simple and has some great elements. I pulled out my large (now retired) circle framelits and used some of the amazing Serene Scenes DSP for the background. I love the flower that is front and center. It can hold it’s own as a main image for sure. These colors are all about summer as far as I am concerned! They are so beachy, don’t you think?

Thanks for stopping by today. I would love to know what you thought of this card so leave me some love in the form of a comment. Be sure to subscribe to my blog and never miss another post, or fun challenge!

SSInk Sketch Challenge

It’s Saturday! The weekend. Time for projects around the home, maybe a yard sale or two and of course some stampin’. Today I played along with the sketch challenge over at SSInkspirations. I have to say that this challenge was just that – a challenge for me!

#SSINKCS34

I like my layers neat and orderly – but once I got going on this, I had a lot of fun getting outside my normal box.

SSINKCS34card

For this card I was able to combine two of my most favorite NEW items from the Annual Catalog, Jars of Love and Serene Scenes DSP. I know that I will be using these two products again and again, so I hope you will enjoy seeing lots of them!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Please leave me some love in the form of a comment and subscribe to the blog so that you never miss another post!

Color Challenge with Royalty

Happy Friday friends. I am so glad the weekend is here. We had a great week except for showing up for a field trip on the wrong day….oops! Ha, ha ha. I did have to laugh about it. We will try again next week.

Tonight I had the opportunity to play along with the color challenge at Stampin’ Royalty.

The background uses both Gorgeous Grunge and Timeless Textures. I am in love with the new Swirls thinlits, available on June 1st. These colors are stunning together and I am sure this will not be the last time I use them.

Thank you so much for coming by today. I would love to know what you thought of my project so feel free leave me a comment. You can subscribe to my newsletter to the right to receive email about my current classes, events and all the latest news at Stampin’ Up!

May Sketch Challenge at SSInk

Happy Hump Day! Or evening if you rather. In any case, the week is cruising by. Today I had a chance to play along with the challenge over at SSInk.

#SSINKCS33-May

And here is my card:

SSInkCS33This card was made for my friend Whitney who graduated from Pharmacy school this week! I am so proud of her and her hard work. These are her school colors and they actually worked nicely together in this project. I am trying to also use any retiring product as much as possible these next 3 weeks and this card has the Chevron embossing folder for the background. I know that I will miss using that!

Stampin’ Royalty Sequins

Hello stampin’ friends! I have a very fun project to share with you today! This week’s challenge at Stampin’ Royalty is to use sequins.

These blushing bride sequins are so so pretty and I love how well they compliment this DSP from the Occasions Catalog! Mint Macron and Blushing Bride are such a nice pairing. I will be using this more this spring.
This project was also featured as part of the gift packaging display at Inking Idaho on the Road – Boise this past weekend. We had such a wonderful time stamping together, making new friends, seeing old friends and enjoying each other!

SR #312 – One Layer Cards

Hello again friends! I am on my way home from an amazing weekend with the high school youth from church but never like missing the fun of stamping! So, it’s time for a super fun challenge over at Stampin’ Royalty. This week we get to make one layer cards! I love how challenging this really is, because you want it to be WOW but that is harder than it seems when you are limited to only one layer.
My card:
I knew the Botanicals for You set would be perfect for this! I love how big and bold the greeting is. The entire card is done in the 2014-2016 In Colors. I want to play with these as much as I can before they disappear later this year. There are tiny rhinestones on the center of each flower but they are a big hard to see in this photo. Sorry about that!!
I would love to challenge you to make a card using only one layer and then email me a copy of it or leave it as a comment over on my Facebook Business page.
