ICS iambringingbirthdayback

Hello hoppers! I am so glad to have you here! Thanks for hopping along with us at
Inspire, Create, Share.

This month we are celebrating birthdays! A few month’s ago, a Stampin’ Up! employee from the home office named Shannon West decided that she wanted to start sending hand stamped cards in the mail so she did a Facebook shout out for anyone and everyone who wanted to receive a card. As you can imagine, the response was overwhelming and a movement began. The #hashtag
#iambringingbirthdaysback went viral and many demonstrators around the globe have joined in!
I love sending cards in the mail so of course I jumped in as well!
This card was featured at a recent technique class that I host monthly. The technique is called the Spotlight Technique and I am sure you can see why. It is actually quite easy and can work with almost any line image. The possibilities are endless!
Now it’s is time to hop on over to my friend Darla’s blog and see what she has created for us! I am sure you are going to love it!

A Wintery Card

Happy Monday! I cannot believe it is the last day of November! This month went to fast!
Guess What!?! I was chosen as a Goddess Pick last week at Stampin’ Royalty! I am so honored and excited to be chosen! Thank you SR!
This week’s Stampin’ Royalty Challenge was to create a winter themed card.
The weather here in Idaho is sure feeling like winter and it made doing a winter themed card easy peasy for me.
This photo really does not do the card the justice it deserves. In person the colors blend so much better and the glitter on the trees is so so sparkly.  I took quite a few trying to capture it all, but alas it wasn’t happening for me today!
At first this card was going to be a Christmas card but then I realized that the sentiment was really quite appropriate for the Season of Winter and that made me giggle! I am so goofy sometimes.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. You can subscribe to my blog on the right and never miss another post. I love blog love in the form of a comment, so please let me know what you think of this card!

Don’t forget that today is another 24-flash sale and your last day to order amazing products at sale prices!

Inspired by…..

Hello friends! Today I am playing along with the SSInk27 Challenge. I love design challenges and have decided this is a great way to stretch myself.
Fall is in full swing and soon it will be time to put these beautiful colors and textures away and focus on Christmas. I am happy to have a few more days to craft for fall. I wanted to make a coordinating card and gift item because I love giving away what I craft! I love this pillow box die and will miss it terribly when it retires next month!

I did a little bit of rock and roll technique on the leaves. I wasn’t totally thrilled with them but the do look like they are turning from one color to another.
Thank you for stopping by today! You and subscribe to my blog to the right ——-} and never miss another post. I would love to know what you think of my card so please leave me some blog love in the form of a comment!

Tic Tac Tutorial

Hello friends! It’s been a busy 1st week of September around these parts. Birthdays, youth outreach events, getting caught up from vacation and then friends in town for the holiday weekend. I hope that things have been going well for you!
In July, I participated in a Treat Swap at Convention in Salt Lake City. My treat holder was an original creation and I have had some requests for directions so today I present to you my very first tutorial!!!! Creating something like a tutorial was very overwhelming for me and I decided I just needed to face my fears and do it. So, without further ado…..
Start with a piece of card stock measuring 4.5″ X 6″
Using your Simply Scored Scoring Tool, score the short side of your card stock at 3/4″ and 3-3/4″
then score the long side of your card stock at 5/8″, 1-3/8″, 3-3/8″ and 4″
Cut some coordinating Designer Series Paper so that you have the following
2 at 2-3/4″ X 1-3/4″
2 at 1/2″ X 1-3/4″
1 at 1/2″ X 2-3/4″
You will also need a piece of coordinating card stock cut to 3/8″ X 2-1/2″ and scored at 1/2″, 3/4″, 1-3/4″ and 2″

Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, adhere the designer series paper to the card stock, leaving the top side sections blank. These are folded in and never seen or cut away.
Fold along all score lines and crease using your bone folder.

Using your paper snips, cut on the first and second horizontal score lines from the bottom up to the vertical score line and cut a small V into each to make folding easier. Repeat on the opposite side.
Next, cut away the top two side sections on the score lines on each side of the box.
When you are done, your box should look like this:
Using your Liquid glue you can now assemble the box, fold your handle and attach to the top.
Cut a 5/8″ Velcro circle into quarters

Attach the soft side of the velcro to the lid of your box and fold over to find the proper placement of the rough side. Press firmly to make sure that each half is securely in place.
Voila! Your box is now complete!! Just add Tic Tac’s!

I hope that you love this project as much as I do. If you would like a printable version of the tutorial, click here
I would love to know your thoughts on this so leave me a comment! Don’t forget to subscribe to the blog so that you never miss another post.
Hugs and Happy Stampin’!
